A little less than two months to go!

This will be my second attempt at starting, and hopefully maintaining, an artistic blog. I pondered about starting a vlog, but realized that it would take more effort than keeping a blog updated (which I had already failed at). So to kick start, I would like to say that I am STRESSED. I have a little less than two months to go until my solo show at The Print Studio in Hamilton gets put up. I have been working on this series of prints since the summer, and although the concept has changed many times, I'm very excited about finishing them. In total there will be six prints, each with a screenprint and relief combination. I literally decided last night that I will also incorporate a coloured relief element because I found that the prints just didn't look...finished. And considering that I have three 4x8 foot sintra boards, I think I can do it.

This would be the first time I had printed something other than figures! It was nice actually. The result print can be seen here, along with another one I printed this weekend:
Along with this blog I am creating a website for my work. It will be launched at my opening reception (which is still to be determined), as well as business cards that I will also design. I have so...much...to do.

On that note, I have downloaded a couple audiobooks to listen to while I work. After discovering them during my thesis production, they are a total staple. Yes, I know, it's totally nerdy, but it's the only thing that keeps my mind focused on my work without giving to much attention to the noise. I listened to Deathly Hallows twice during my thesis (only because I didn't have time to download anything else) and now I have the Chronicles of Narnia and His Dark Materials ready to go! I had just re-read His Dark Materials in book form so I'm excited to see how it shapes with an audiobook.
